Refund policy

At Baobab Metal Systems, we are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction with our steel products. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted, in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 2008.

 

1. Refund Eligibility

1.1 Standard Products: You may request a refund for products purchased from our online store [insert website URL] within 7 days of receipt if:The product is defective, damaged, or not as described in the product listing.The product is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging.

1.2 Custom-Made or Specially Ordered Products: Refunds for custom-manufactured or specially ordered products (e.g., tailored racking, shelving, or palisades) are only available if:The product is defective or does not meet the agreed specifications due to our error.Refunds for custom products are not available for change of mind, as per Section 17 of the CPA.

1.3 Refunds will not be granted for products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.

 

2. Refund Process

2.1 Notification: To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of receiving the product at:

Provide your order number, proof of purchase, and details of the issue (e.g., photos of defects).

2.2 Return: If approved, we will provide instructions for returning the product. You must return the product in its original condition and packaging, using a trackable courier service.

2.3 Inspection: Returned products will be inspected to confirm eligibility for a refund.

3. Refund Amount and Processing

3.1 Refunds will cover the purchase price of the product, excluding original delivery charges, unless the refund is due to our error.

3.2 If the return is due to a defect or our error, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs, provided you use our designated courier or method.

3.3 Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned product, using the original payment method.

3.4 At our discretion, we may offer to repair or replace a defective product instead of issuing a refund, as permitted by the CPA.

 

4. Warranty-Related Refunds

4.1 Products are warranted against manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery, subject to proper use.

4.2 For warranty-related refunds, follow the same process outlined in Section 2. We may choose to repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.
